There IS one other thing to check. Pick the OS version you want the driver to install as, then ok out and run the install program.

I have many folders and files that are not hidden files in my inf directory. To install something in compatibility mode, you would right click on the install program, choose s2ll and then find the ‘compatibility’ tab. You say you’re not getting sound from Windows Media Player – but are you getting anything the speakers otherwise?
